Most standard notepad sizes are:

  • 4.25" × 5.5" (quarter-sheet size)

  • 5.5" × 8.5" (half-sheet size)

If you’re picturing something else, that’s totally fine too - custom sizes are welcome, if you want - contact me and we can chat about your ideas.

How Many Sheets Are in a Notepad?

Most notepads are made with 50 sheets per pad.

That’s the sweet spot:
thick enough to feel real, thin enough to stay friendly on your desk.

If you need more (or fewer), just say the word.

What Kind of File Should You Upload?

The ideal file is simple:

  • a PDF

  • sized to the final trim size of the pad

  • one page only (this is the page that repeats 50 times)

  • set up exactly how you want it to print

Bleeds and crop marks usually aren’t necessary for notepads, but if your design runs to the edge and you already included them, that’s great.

One Helpful Design Tip

If your notepad has a top margin where people will write (like a header area with your logo), leave yourself a little breathing room near the edge where the padding glue goes. 1/4" margin all the way around (or more) is suggested.
