I actually enjoy grocery shopping - I pop in my headphones, put on something like MJ Lenderman, and walk around the store wondering what it might be like to eat gluten-free for a week. Every time, I toss a loaf of bread in the cart, and think about how maybe I'll reconsider next time.

Wondering and wandering!

A few years back, we bought a house that happened to be 2 blocks from our neighborhood grocery store. Since then, any time I even want as much as a pack of gum, I head over to the store and pick it up. I was seeing a pattern of times that I would go shopping with a list of 4 or 5 things, not written down, just in my head. I'd make up a song or something to help me remember:

Avocado, shredded cheese,
toothpaste, milk, and butter, please...

...and just like clockwork, I'd come home without the toothpaste (or whatever it happened to be on that day).

Then, I sat down and made these grocery lists. Now, I'm undefeated at grocery shopping.
